Truck Accessories, Aftermarket Parts, Auto Accessories, Car Accessories & Performance Parts (this is where i bought my bumpers and some other stuff, usually free shipping and no tax, by far the cheapest ive found, but they sell cheaper brands like smittybilt (which is what i went with for bumpers, no regrets at all tho it looks and works fine, ive hit it on a few rocks already and not a scratch lol, they also sell some higher end items tho, im going to be buying a AA SYE and tom woods DS combo from them soon)
I look at quadratec all the time. And was wondering on Smittybuilt. Read the few reviews I've found on amazon and there are a lot of people who don't like them.
ya quite a few people dont like smittybilt because they make their products in china, but i have a smittybilt front bumper (procomp rear) and ive droped down on a rock more than one time and it hasnt failed me yet, i will admit the bolt holes were about 1/16th of an inch off , nothing a drill and washers wont fix tho, 10 cent washers to save a few hundred on a bumper was well worth it to me, but then again i dont mind chinese products (for most things), even bestop makes their tops in china, so its kind of hard to avoid buying non-american items, buddy of mine runs a smittybilt XRC8 winch and it hasnt failed yet, used it a dozen or so times, just depends on how much / hard you are going to use it, if we went off roading every single weekend id invest the $ for a warn winch, but only going one time a month max it would be a waste of cash, to me anyway
i bought both my bumpers from the 4x4group site at the same time and the front + rear bumper and D-rings cost me right around $300 shipped
If you want quality try rokmen. They make excellent bumpers at a good price. I'm not a fan of smittybuilt. I have made that mistake before, so I hope you won't have to. Another good place to get a bumper is your local fab shop. They will like be cheaper, stronger and to your specific need then many cookie cutter mail order bumpers.
Look at Savvy stuff. There bumpers are made of AL and through the jeep forum you can contact them for a lower price than is states. Smitty bumpers are heavy but they aren't bad. That is what I have as of right now but I will change at some point. It is not the most important thing on the list considering I am building on 2 jeeps.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.
IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
