I just bought my first wrangler. Its a 2006 wrangler X with the 4.0L and the 6 speed, soft top and safari half doors. It has just under 20,000 miles and is super clean with almost no rust. I don't have any major modding plan but it is my first real car and another toy in my collection. Any suggestions or any things i should watch out for?
Congrats on buying an awesome vehicle. Nothing really to watch out for until you start moddin it. First minor mods people usually do is Exhuast, Intake and wheels. Do you know if you have the D44 in the rear or the D35? You can check by the type of drain plug. Metal=44 Plastic = 35. What kind of wheelin you gonna do with it?
Congrates on the Jeep. Your gona love it. Becarefull on calling it a car though, Car and Jeep doesn't belong in the same sentence. LOL! Post some pics of it. We would like to see it.
the only thing to watch out for is the overdraft protection in your bank once the mods kick in. you say no modding know, but you'll get bit. post some pics
I should have some pic on tuesday. Any suggestions for the air intake, I think I could attempt to build my own or am I better off just buy a mass produced one?
Good luck and welcome to WF. My suggestion: Enjoy the Jeep and be open minded about redefining your driving habits off-road. You will be very surprised how capable the TJ's are in stock form. As you define your needs, upgrade accordingly.
