Broke Sunrider Plastic Sleeve

I broke one of the plastic sleeves that slide over the pivot point to unlock the sunrider top in my haste to get the top back on before a sudden storm.

Anyone know if there is a stronger, ie. maybe aluminum, replacement sleeve? I tried to google it, but no luck. I'm sure I could get another plastic one from the dealer for way more than it's worth, but they are pretty cheaply made for what they need to do. Sometimes plastic sucks!

Cell phone photo - it's actually broke worse than it looks - it's also cracked.

Huh - I never thought of not using it to lock the hinge. I thought it had to be locked before folding the top all the way back though.

That's what I get for being too anal about directions I guess.
