Broken Upper Shock Mount, Ideas???

Well guys I'm out here in Colorado and snapped my upper shock mount on the driver side coming down some pretty steep trails with some nice size obstacles. What do you guys recommend for replacing the stock mount. I was looking at this on line for a simple fix http://www.amazon.com/Currie-Enterpr...j+shock+mounts .....

I will most likely wait till i get back to the farm to fix it so all your ideas are greatly appreciated.

That product will make your problem worse. The reason you broke the mount in the first place is because you didn't have enough bump stop to prevent the shock from bottoming out. The bar bin eliminator will shorten your upstroke by another 1/2" or so making it bottom out sooner.

If you have a body lift or are willing to temporarily lift the body up you may be able to mount it to the top side of your frame mount which will extend it by a 1/2" It will be a pain in the neck to do and will be a pain to replace your shocks too. You'll need extra hardware to do that though.

Did you just break the pin or the frame mount itself? If it was just the pin you may be able to score a replacement from a buddy replacing his shocks.

I broke the pin but also put a crack in the mount. The mount can be welded once i get home. My rear bump stops are completely gone, hence snapping the pin and so forth. I have looked for new bump stops but cant come across them... and ideas?? TIA!!
