Brush Gaurd Question (may have been answered before)

I'm thinking about getting this brush guard next week. (Rugged Ridge)

My question is this: Will I have to relocate the factory fog lights on the front bumper? There are two large Torx bolts just on the inside of each fog light, that I guess attach the bumper to the frame. Does it bolt there? I don't want to lose the factory fog lights, or have to drill and move them. Anyone have this bumper, and could give me some insight? Thanks a lot!

Here is the front bumper for better clarification.

The Torx bolts are right above the square blocks on the front of the bumper.

it looks to me like the tabs in the brush gaurd go under the stock bumper. Those torx bolts on top do not go all the way through the frame. I would think you would be able to mount it without moving the fog lights. Any chance you can search thier website for intallation instructions.

does appear to mount on the bottom.. the only issue you may have is your beam projection may get cut off a bit if it is mounted that close to the "wall" of the brush guard.

yeah that bar could block out some of the light from the fog light, but if they are anything like my stock fog lights they are worthless anyway.

I've always considered my Google-Fu to be strong, but I could never come up with install instructions. There are also tabs on the top too, you just can't see it because of the angle the picture of the guard was taken at So I assume it would attach through the top to the bottom. I did find this picture of it installed today on another forum. If this is the same guard, it may work.

(Not my Jeep)

Well I finally got my guard... It came in today and let me tell you, the people t Rugged Ridge or whoever puts all the parts in the box, needs another job. I have a friend that works for Fed-Ex who called me today, so he met me and did ye 'ole hand off. I got it home this evening and opened up the box and was like hmm... no instructions, well it shouldn't be to hard to put together it's only a 4 bolts washers and lock washers, right? WRONG!!!!

As I always do, I check for all parts, and see if they fit correctly, and of course they didn't. The bolts for the crossmembers were about a 1/4" to big (around) and there was no way the would even begin to start in the pre-drilled holes. No big deal, I went to ACE and go the right size bolts and lock washers, and $2.78 later I was back at the house. Without instructions, it was kind of a pain... I didn't know I had to take the entire front bumper off. So an hour and two bloody knuckles later... I'm pretty happy with the results.

Now I just cant decide if I want to take the milk jugs off the corners...

Oh and I also repainted my flares a couple weeks ago, so I thought I would share. I think they turned out pretty good.

And i just realized my phone takes awesome pictures!!!

caps off. im doing that in about an hour or so, i hate the look of them. i just painted the factory rims black a couple of hours ago and they look pretty good. i like that brush guard i might have to get one myself now. (i like the ones that go up and all the way arround the turn signal lights - jc whitney has them for 200 bucks)

That one was $79.00 and they have the add-on that bolts on to it for like $50-something.

This:

I may grab this next week... I haven't decided yet.

I got it at http://www.shopjeepparts.com
