Budget Boost good or bad?

Would you recomend a budget boost? I wanna but 33s on my jeep and a buget boost. maybe a 1" bl. I like to offroad but nothing serious so i dont think i need to spend alot of money on a suspension lift. Its also my dd.

My 2" BB works great. It's a DD on 31's that see some light offroading in the sand dunes, desert, and snow.

Most budget boost's are 1.75" tall. For 33's, I'd recommend a 3" suspension lift with proper bumpstops or a 2" suspension + 1.25" bodylift.

I have 2 inch BB on 33s and it works great for me! I hit trails and climb some and it works fine for what I do.

^ Nice looking red Jeep. I like the wheels. I have the same, only black.

I ran a 2.25" budget boost and 33's for a long time and had a lot of fun with my Jeep on the cheap. I did add longer shocks and bumpstops that did not come with the BB. Then, a 1.25" Body lift and 1" motor mount lift to fix the slight driveline vibration.

When I added a winch and some disconnects, the front end sagged and I had some minor rubbing issues. So, I swapped the stock front springs and spacers for some 3" springs to fix that.

After that I bought............and then..............it will never stop.

Dextreme, I was just at Sandlake for the very first time this past Saturday. Wheeling in the sand is sooooo different compared to what I'm accustomed to .

What an experience, I enjoyed it so much - I forgot to take pics .

I also found out that my Jeep and 4.0 engine prefers climbing dunes in 4lo vs 4hi.

Yes, I find that 4lo and about 10-12 psi is the trick down there.

Just 2" BB. I will eventually get new shocks. I did trim my flares but it was just for looks.

I run a 2" BB with 31" tyres and I have great fun and do some decent trails without issues.

If you plan on disconnecting the sway bar when you go offroad, which you should, then seriously look at installing extended bumpstops to prevent fender damage.

What I have installed so far:

2" spacers
Zone Nitro shocks for 2" lift.
Extended bumpstops for the front
Longer sway bar links for the rear.

I'm happy as can be.

I had a 2" Skyjacker BB on my "98, and had no issues with it. If you go this route I recommend you get a "kit" that includes the spacers, bump stop extensions and shocks. I also recommend you start spraying down all the nuts and bolts with PB Blaster now, and continue to spray them down on a regular bases until you install what ever lift you get.

Daystar has a great 1.75" BB for $130. Includes all 4 spring cups and all 4 bumpstops. SkyJacker has a similar BB that is 2" and only $3 more. Then some skyjacker hydros for 35 each. Those are the options I am considering. HTH

I recently installed a teraflex 1.5 bb. I kept stock shocks for now. First impression was that it rides much worse than stock. Small bumps before are now teeth-jaring. Any ideas?
