Budget Duratrac Alternative?

I need tires to replace my Maxxis Buckshots before winter gets here. Posted a thread asking about tire recommendations, decided on either the silentarmor or duratrac, then hunted around for a day for the best price. I can't get any better than $840 installed for five.

So..any recommendations for alternatives that are cheaper, or should I just suck it up and spend the money?

I have Sport King A/Ts, 33x12.5x15. I really like these tires. They balanced well, quiet, ride well in all weather they have been through. Supposedly they are made in the same plant as BFG A/Ts and the tread pattern is very similar. I got 4 tires, with mount and balance for 606.00

You might look at Dunlop Fierce attitudes. Sams club can get them or any other decent place, they are very similar looking to Duratracs and less expensive. Made by GY iirc..

I went with General AT2's. They were around 100 per tire for 31's. I have had them for around 6 months now and I am very happy with them. They are quiet, smooth ride and I cant not see any wear on the so far. I drive about 60 mi round trip each day. They look a lot like BFG AT's. They are not bad offroad. They are not mudders though.

Where the heck did you get the grabbers so cheap? Everyone here wants $150 a tire before installation!

look at online retailers, then get discount tire to price match.

I'd recommend BFG's...but they aren't "cheap". I paid under 800 for all 5 (31x10.5) I thought that was good.

I got mine at Tire Rack. I carried them on base and mounted and balanced them.

Check Walmart online for General Grabbers (new) and Good Year Wrangler Authority (maybe only 16" though).
