Question Bug Screen?

Who here has the bug screen that goes in front of the grill? PERSONALLY...i dont like the way it looks, but after my recent loss of a condenser I was wondering if ANYONE tried to mount the screen on the backside of the grill...so you still get the same effect but dont have to look at it. AND IF ANYONE HAS a black TJ with a BLACK bug screen PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post a picture of it thanks!

Thumbs up re

Actually, you could head to the hadware store and get some HD bug/screen door mesh and black zip ties and make a low cost one......oh and by the way you can hide it on the inside of the grill then. Another option is the metal decrotive mesh at Menards in the sheet / metal goods area and some black Duplicolor bed liner spray. That is outside the grill ....

I thought about the bug screen too and thought there could be a better way. I know eventually I will try something. I have noticed that a lot of bugs and rocks get in there. I will hopefully go with something soon. I guess its one of Jeep's flaws.

I would think that putting in a inner screen would get pushed back into the rad and melt unless you can find something to withstand the heat, or you found a good way to secure it.

That goes over the grill - keeps crud outta your rad... but you have to take the screen off once in a while to clean the crud off it too... just a preference thing
