Building Project Skipwheat

Rokmen has started a new project - Skipwheat...

Skipwheat is being built for it's owner who is in Iraq for his third tour. We have a month to finish it up and have it ready for his return. Built to be bullet proof on 37's - and provide a LCOG stance It' sure to be an understated jeep that impresses both on the road and trail....

Some quick specs...
2005 LJ
Spider 9 Custom axles
Custom 2.5" Supsension(A Modified Freak Platform)
37" GoodYear Kevlar MTR's
17" Walker Evans Beadlocks
Rokmen HiLine's and Armor all the way around and under
Custom Roll Cage
Lots of other details along the way too....

Here is the rendering of what our end result will be:

And here is where we are starting from:

The rest of the build pictures are posted in our Gallery here:
Skip Wheat

Check the gallery often, as we are posting updates every couple of days - and will also have a bunch of detailed pics for you hardcore welding and detail smut pic lovers...

And Skipwheat is done, and heading off on it's 900 Mile drive to it's home, with one very happy owner...

Tim, the owner, spent the weekend with us up here in Colorado becoming familiar with his new rig. Which we started with a 120 mile trip out west to Buena Vista Colorado to run a few trails. We ran both Iron Chest and Chinamens - as both trails offer a good variety of driving requirements.

This Mini-Freak(Freak platofrm running 37's) hit every design and build criteria with ease. 80+ MPH on the highway with better than stock, and off-road performance that just delivers wihtout compromise.

Tons of detailed pictures of the build can be seen in our build gallery here:
Collection: Builds

Additional Pics of Skipwheat on the trails can be seen in our Wheelin' gallery here:
Collection: Wheelin'

Another sweet build from the boys at Rokmen. I must visit that site every other day to see what project they're working on.........

Thanks for the good words.

The owner made it through his 900 mile ride home without a problem...

Built for the Rocks, and built for the road....

If you don't mind sharing, how much is a "conversion/build" like that cost if I were to bring you a base Jeep to start with? I know there are tons of options, but a ballpark figure. PM is you don't want to share publicly.

Thanks!
