Bump stop loose

My son called me a while ago to tell me his right rear bump stop is loose and rattling around in the spring of his 99TJ. I am going to look at it when I get off of work, but is that something anyone here has dealt with? Simple fix? Major problems? I'm wondering if its loose because something in there other than just the bump stop is broke....

The bump stop is in two parts... the rubber part just snaps into the bumpstop holder and the holder is bolted to the upper coil spring bucket. I can't imagine it being anything more serious than it came unbolted from not being bolted back into place tightly enough.

try to bolt it back up first....but if the threading is stripped out, then drill it out and put a bolt/washer up top using a bolt thats long enough to go through the mount.

No big deal, you can dig out the remaining piece with a screwdriver or knife and pop a replacement in.
