Bumper?

I'm looking at putting a new bumper on but really don't know what to go with. I'm thinking i may go with the Fabtech Tubular, or a Rugged Ridge rock crawling bumper. You guys got any pics or first hand experience with either one! or if you got any ideas for one,. I plan on putting a winch in as well. and throwing two KC lights up with it.

no personal experience, but i have not heard of a single fabtech bumper with mounting brackets that actually line up with the frame (quality control issues).

If you wheel at all I would highly recommend a heavy duty bumper with dual recovery points. Preferrably something with the clevis mounts welded through as opposed to to the bumper.

I like my Kilby. This is the 50", they also sell a 42" if you like the stubby type bumper.

I've got warns on the TJ's, I get em locally from the local parts stores, the major warehouse around here, Keystone, has them in stock, usually $200-$220 + tax but no shipping. My daughter bent her first one when she broke a saturn in half with her TJ, it made an oncoming left turn in front of while she was doing 40 and she got it dead center on the B pillar, the A pillar bent it a bit, replaced it and gave it to my son for his TJ. It's a nice bumper, good powdercoat too, currently has 2 hella 500's on it, factory hooks and the two D ring tabs for the shackles. The problem with bumpers is the shipping, that usually adds $60+ to the price.
Everyone carries warn and I can add the winch plate later on.

I've got the Fab-Tech bumper and there are mounting points for shackles on the front. I didn't have any issues with the holes lining up but when I tied in the Fab-teck steering skid box it did take a little moving to get everything lined up. Another thing to keep in mind, with the Fab-Tech and the Trail-Gear bumper (which is the same design) you need to purchase fog light extension cables for $30. It's been a pretty good bumper that only took an hour to install and i was going really slow.

FAB-TECH(look-a-like) I got it off eBay for $100. It has two light mounting points on the top and a tab at each end for recovers or whatever.

I just bought one. Sturdy and a great price. You pick size, tow points and tubes.
