Bumper Lights?

Hey guys,
Looking at buying some bright nice lights. Which ones do you recommend? I looked at the KC black slimlights, the Hella black magic lights, and pro comp lights.

I recently replaced my factory fogs with some IPF driving lights from quadratec. They have two reflectors built into them. One acts as a driving and the other as a fog. Two lights in one and they are a lot brighter than the oem lights. Here is a link.

How do you change the lights profile? Is there a switch to change it?

Thanks!!!

My oem lights are turned on by pulling out on the turn signal lever. I just used the factory relay and switch but ended up using the harness that came with it in case I decided to use yhe 100W bulbs down the road. Just didnt want to take a chance of using the oem wiring harness and burn something up. Oh and they are both fog and driving profile when you turn them on. No way to change between the two, but it lights up the sides and way out front so works good with both on at once!

the only bad thing about them is that they are an offroad light so they arent street legal. the ipf 968's tap into the headlights and can only be turned on with your brights. theres also a switch so you can have them on with your brights or have them off. thats all assuming you wire them the way the directions say to. i just got to use mine for the first time last night and they were great. the combo of fog and spot light is really nice. check out northridge4x4 they have them for $144 and they come with everything you need.

I got a set of 6" 130watt lights, going to be mounted on windshield hinge mounts. for the life of me I can't remember the brand (thank God my heads attached). I'll check the box in the morning. All I know is they look great and are the brightest my part store carries. Cant wait to get them on my rig. Would already be there if not for those frigging T-40's.
Damn Torx straight to hell. They are an evil creation. I actually thought they looked cool when I first got my jeep. I'm such an IDIOT!

I figure i'd use them in the north bound lane, one facing east and one facing west. Ha ha, kidding. They will be for on the trail so i planned on having the point slightly out, I figure my headlights point forward why not brighten the front and sides together. If that doesn't work out i suppose i could hit the hood with bedliner and cut down the glare.

I just installed the new warn remote control light's on my friend's jk. Great if you dont want to go through the fire wall. they turn on and off with a remote control similar to an alarm remote, very simple plug and play wiring...

I seen a guy one CL that was making HID fog lights, they look like KC's and he can make them at any burn temp you want for $150. But I think I am going to just keep searching and try and find a cheap set of used Hella or KC's....which has seemed to be a challenge. If I get some KC's, I believe I will just primer the backs and paint them black to match the bumper.

I put some KC Daylighters on my bumper where the fog lights usually mount. My Jeep did not come with any from the factory. They were extremely bright. Too bright. I was worried about getting a ticket since they were not legal, so I barely used them. Only on deserted hiways with not another vehicle in sight. I could not use them off road because they were so friggin bright, they would blind my wheeling buddies unless I was out front. A buddy's Jeeps spare tire took one out on a run. (I ran into him....he backed into me....doesn't matter)
I replaced them with the KC Slimlite Fogs. Much better. Can use them off road instead of headlights at night too.

So....If you like tickets and blinding people, or travel a lot of deserted dark hiways, go for the Daylighters!

Actually that's what I am looking for. We live off the beaten path so to speak through a national park and deer and bear are bad to run out in front of you. So a little extra light is awesome. Its all we use my wife's hella roof lights for.

Will I have to get a bigger alternator to run two of these daylighters? I have a optima battery.

No. My stock original battery and alternator worked just fine.
