Bumper/Winch Dilema

Sorry for nooby question, driving me crazy not finding answers hahaha..!
google you failed me....

I have a smittybuilt XRC front bumper with a smittybuilt XRC10 winch(pretty worn) 2004 TJ Sport 5spd 4.0L 150k

I am looking to downsize to a smaller more compact bumper since the XRC sticks pretty far out there. I am in love with the Warn Rock Crawler front bumper and was wondering if i would be able to keep my current winch (has a smittybuilt winch plate) and just mount that seperate or does the winch/winchplate have to match the bumper's brand. The reason being i dont want to buy an entirely new winch/winchplate since this one works fine...

Been googling around and havent found any answers so i figure i would have to ask y'all Thanks in advance

TL/DR: Does the winch/winch plate need to match the bumper's brand or can i use a different brand winch/winch plate.

Everything should line up, the warn bumper is compatible with a winch plate and as far as i know the smittybuilt winch plate is the standard dimension/bolt holes.

Winches have a standard bolt pattern. Warn makes a winch with a different bolt pattern but most Warn's have the standard bolt pattern. If the Warn bumper is made for a winch you might not even need a winch plate.
