Buying a new jeep. Is it a good deal???

Hey guys Im new to jeeps but looking at a 1998 TJ, 4.0L 5 speed. Its got a 4" skyjacker lift and 35s. It also has a ford 88 rear axel and 4.56 gears. And detroit auto lockers in the rear. Its pretty good shape 129,000 miles. The guy is asking $6,500. Is this a good deal or should i keep looking. Thanks..

Seems like a great deal!!!!
a jeep like that should be around 10k

the play in the front end is probably the bushings for the steering, mine does the same thing it's nothing to worry about just yet.
If you dont get stuck, you're not trying hard enough.

98 tj 4.0 5 speed aka "rosie"

Sounds legit to me. It's nice to have a built Ford 8.8 already without having to regear so that's nice. I'd go $6k and work from there. Post pics asap
It's got a Willy's body, a Chevy engine, Ford axles, GM transmission, and Dodge steering components... it must be a Wrangler.

Sounds good,Take it for a long test drive
Does it have the stock 30 up front?
Still a good price
You could up grade the steering if needed

CarFax it. Either way talk him down to $6,000.00 if you can. Otherwise.. when buying used.. try and buy stock.

Here is a picture of it. Seems really nice the only thing that was turning me off about it was the steering, but I think that can be fixed fairly easy. Thanks guys.
