doesnt sounds to bad, i would go throught and make sure it was not abused without any maintenance. my dad always told me when buying lifted vehicles to remeber you dont know who did the work or what they used it for
mine has a dana 35 but idk bout weak. alot of people say you have to regear them just to run 35s when that is not the case at all. im new to jeeps but not danas. to run 35s and mid off road it will hold up fine. the only way its gonna fail is if u take it to far like anything else a dana 60 will break at some point so look into what u are gonna use it for
2006 4.0, 6-speed, Wrangler X. Soft top, full doors, new 32" A/T tires. 79,000 miles for $13,500 from a small dealer.
From big dealers, I can't find anything less than $16,999... but $13,500 is right around KBB value for a private seller.
What do you guys think?
that's not too bad of a starting price, i'd take a closer look and a test drive. if it has 32" tall tires it likely has been lifted so be careful not to purchase a poorly executed lift kit. drive it at highway speeds to be sure it does not have suspension issues. good luck.
2002 Wrangler Sahara, all stock, 5-speed, Dana 44, dual tan tops, 2nd owner.
2008 Hemi Grand Cherokee Limited 4X4, Quadradrive II, original owner, 24,000 miles.
I just picked up a 03 Sahara 5 sp with 94000 for $9500. Picking it up some time next week. Central Mass area but the Jeeps from NC. Really wanted an auto but price and condition seemed way over reasonable. Pics soon.
Is it worth it? Depends. Is it worth it to you? Everybody on here has a different view of worth. Different areas get more than others. Who gives a hoot what someone else thinks? Everyone has a story about how little they paid. Some good deals, some rust buckets for cheap, but they never mention the rust bucket part. Get what you want and what you are comfortable paying for it. The stories never end. Do some research on NADA, BB values. Enjoy what you buy, after all, it's yours now.
