Buying a used frame!

What do I need to look for? It's from an offroad company so I can trust them a little bit more than private party, but still what should I look for?

Does anyone know the measurements of the frame?

There's a dent it it, from something. What should I check out around the dent?

Rust? ball point hammer? run my finger in the frame's holes, what should it fell like?

With the dent in it, i would be very careful. What ever put that dent in it and depending on it's location the frame could bent. I would also be wary of frames that I can't physical touch (scratch at the rust to see if it's just surface or if it goes deeper, and repair welds etc.). I personally would not buy a used frame unless I could see it in person. I Would buy a new one though site unseen from a reputable company. Just my 2 cents (allowing for inflation, say half a penny) worth.
