has anyone tried putting cab lights on the little strip of body over the windshield on their tj? i found this photo on a different forum and thought it looked awesome and would like to try it. any pics or advice would be awesome.
I would wire them to come on with the running lights. I saw this on the cheap easy fun mod thread and have been contemplating it. Still trying to figure out how to run wires.any ideas?
Finally got it done. I ended up running the wires inside the windshield frame. Honestly, the hardest part was getting the windshield folded down to run the wires out of the bottom.
Next project, turn signals in the grill, CJ style.

I really dont notice any extra glow from them. If I am in just the right position I can see the reflection of them in my windshield KCs, but you'd never notice that without looking for it. But the extra glow on the hood is so minimal I haven't noticed it. I will check tonight to be sure.
3/4" LED marker lights from Oriellys. They have a rubber grommet around them so you just push them into the hole. Any small LED marker light would work. No bigger than 3/4" though, as they barley fit. If I were doing it over, I would find smaller lights. 3/4" is a big hole to drill.
hahaha I just gotta get over it. Ive looked at the tire carrier a few times, and ive seen your pics of it some where, its pretty sweet. but yea, those holes man! ha
Sure. It's just getting dark I will post some tonight. We are doing a set on my buddies this weekend.
