There are any number of small surface mount Leds on the market that you could use. You can get smaller than that.

If you want small lights, look at what the Ford Raptor uses in the grille.

Another option would be the 3/4" round marker light:

Could you wire them to the headlight switch so they come on when you turn your headlights on? Or would it be better to use a separate switch

I would wire them to come on with the running lights. I saw this on the cheap easy fun mod thread and have been contemplating it. Still trying to figure out how to run wires.any ideas?

It would be pretty easy to wire them to the parking lamp circuit.

There is a plastic housing inside the cab where the wiring (if equipped) for the rear view mirror lights are run. It comes off pretty easy.

Finally got it done. I ended up running the wires inside the windshield frame. Honestly, the hardest part was getting the windshield folded down to run the wires out of the bottom.

Next project, turn signals in the grill, CJ style.

Not really. I forgot to take pics during the install and the lights are the only part of the setup visible without folding the windshield down and pulling apart the drivers side dash. If you have any questions, I would be more than happy to answer them tho!

I really dont notice any extra glow from them. If I am in just the right position I can see the reflection of them in my windshield KCs, but you'd never notice that without looking for it. But the extra glow on the hood is so minimal I haven't noticed it. I will check tonight to be sure.

Nice!! I reckon I'm going to have to look into doing the lights myself. Love the look.

3/4" LED marker lights from Oriellys. They have a rubber grommet around them so you just push them into the hole. Any small LED marker light would work. No bigger than 3/4" though, as they barley fit. If I were doing it over, I would find smaller lights. 3/4" is a big hole to drill.

So you basically drilled into the windshield frame, stuck in the lights and ran the wires? Do you have measurements for placement of said lights?
