Well i did a search and dident really find the info i was looking for on it. I bought a 2002 apex eddition that has has some pretty extensive mods done on it. One of which is the EDGE trail jammer. I asked a buddy of mine with a yj about it and he told me he dosent know much about them but that there a great system. Mine came with everything from the intake cone piping TB and control modual but i have no idea what the purpose of this system is. Can anyone give me any info on it?
What do you want to know? I know one of the designers of this system. The system consists of the computer code being changed on your Jeep, a larger throttle body on the intake side along with a larger piping to match the larger throttle body. Edge products has an exceptional customer service phone support and they could answer any and all questions you have. They are located in Ogden Utah. Oh yea just a FYI Edge Products is a division of MSD products.
Well my buddy with the yj said it was put on them to increse MPG. I personaly dont think this is true but it still does give it pretty good throttle response.
I think so to. I only get around 210 to the tank if theres no wheelin involved on that tank. The mudders dont help but i dig the system. Do you have to updat the controle modualor anything like that over time?
Well I have the same kit on my 02 with 4.0 the throttle body and the intake make a difference but the module did absolutly nothing except turn my check engine light on. I can unplug it and it runs the same. The most performance gain I have seen is when I put the banks monster exhaust on it. My fuel mileage almost doubled and the power gain was huge. Personally I think the edge was a waste of money and wish I would have gone with super chips stage 2
I find this pretty hard to believe...you are telling us that your mileage went from 10-15 up to 20-30 mpg? I have the banks set up and didnt get much for an increase in mpg just got some better throttle response and a louder exhaust...
Just an FYI for everyone. Superchips is owned by Edge Products. The difference between the two modules is the Superchips actually reflashes your bios on your engine's computer while the Edge module manipulates the signal from all the different sensors. It of course is more technical than that, but you get the gist of it.
