Reason number 417 NOT to have a snorkel on your Jeep. The added weight of the snorkel obviously pushed that Jeep past the tip-over point. Just another example of how useless snorkels are on Jeeps......

I blew the rear end on a 94 Sahara doing a roll back.
Backing out of the driveway I didn't come to complete stop, threw it in first and stomped on it, made it about twenty feet and experienced a hard bang and the Jeep came to dead stop.
Pulled the cover off the diff and found I'd sheared several bolts that hold the ring gear, they got into the gears and between the carrier and housing and did quite a bit of damage.
Burnouts in a jeep are foolish but it's your money, do with it as you like.

If you look VERY carefully, you will see that the snorkel is on the wrong side of the Jeep to have caused it to roll over.

That's why I said it PUSHED it past the tip-over point instead of PULLED.

Hey, do it. We need another funny video. I wish my jeep had enough power to do a burnout.

I've never seen a Jeep in the NHRA or in NASCAR. Thus I've never seen NASCAR or Quarter Mile car on the trail...or in the snow....or in the mud....or rock climbing.

I think the "burnout" is probably the single most accurate intelligence indicator among driving age individuals in America today.

I don't think you'll break a 35 burning out, but screwing off like that on dry pavement is pretty hard on shit. I'm guilty of screwing off, drifting, and spinning the tires in the snow in parking lots...even that's not really smart. You could pop a ujoint, or lose a wheel weight, bomb the transmission, or damage a driveshaft. Hell, even too much tire spin while muddin' I've seen screw things up.

Doing ANYTHING...the higher that needle goes on your rpm gage, the higher the odds are of you f*cking something up.

If a chick wants you to do burnouts, say "hop in...I can do way better than some cheesey burnout." then when she gets in, drive up the curb and be all yelling "woooooooo this is crazy!!!!" and get a cheap feel while you're bouncing around. That's what I do.

It'll get you further than a burnout

Put small wheels on it with slick tires for practice runs, then join the big dogs in the contest. Might not be able to see you for the smoke though.

I was assuming you didn't know the difference. HMMWV's have won a couple of wars.. and so have Willys'. But I agree with your concept.

Neutral drops tend to shorten the service life of several key components.
