can it be rebuilt? cherokee DS interchange?

OK here's what I have:
2001 wrangler sport 4.0 standard shift
4 inch rough country suspension lift
1 inch transfer case drop
Adavance adapter SYE
Tom Woods rear drive shaft
Running 33 inch tires

The problem:
Had a u joint go bad so I replaced all three of em in the rear drive shaft, everything was good for about 2 or three months, now I'm feeling a vibration, seems to be coming from the back of the jeep. Is it possible that the ball in the middle of the cv end of the shaft has gone bad. I dont know if the previous owner ever greased the ball but it did have greaseable joints in it.

The question: Can I have the drive shaft rebuilt or is it junk? Where do I send it? Can I rebuild it myself?

The other question: I have been told that a drive shaft from a cherokee will fit right in as long as I have an SYE, and I do. I happen to have a cherokee drive shaft and they both share very similar characteristics. The previous owner gave it to me when I bought the jeep.

Long and short is yes every driveshaft can be fixed.

Best thing to do is take yours out and compare it to the cherokee one...using a set of calipers to measure the u-joint caps and cross to make sure they are the same.

All you have to do is take it to a machine shop and they should be able to repair it for you...or an 18 wheeler truck repair shop
