Can you swap 2.5 4cl for 4 6cy

I'm looking to buy my first wrangler but I have a 99 grand. The gc doesn't run and thought about picking up a 2.5 and swapping it out for the 4.0 in the gc. I'm not able to do it myself but I'm assuming it will need a stronger tran and rear end. But I was curious if it was good or bad idea?

And a new wiring harness for those two extra cylinders. Rear end will be fine, but I do not think the transmission will bolt up to a 4.0

Just get the 6 cyl and you won't have to monkey around trying to make it work.
