Yeah I know another gear question but I done the big search thing and found nothing again.Anyway I need to make sure I am right on the break on the carrier as the 99 TJ I just bought has 3.73 gears and my 97 has 3.07.The carrier for the 3.73 is the larger carrier for lower gears correct??? I think the 35 breaks at 3.54 and up and the 30 breaks at 3.73 and up if this is correct please let me know. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!

I like for it to shine even thought it is muddy most of the time!

Crap, I can't remember either...

But, if you are having an install done, have the shop check it when they order the R/P. They should be able to quote you a price for the work even if you want to do it yourself.

I am the shop I have never done an install on a wrangler but I have put carrier bearings and replaced R&Ps on 2wd trucks and vans many times before.I also have a buddy that also does them in race cars that will lend the tech knowledge and the dial indicator so it will be done right I just need to make sure of the break before I order the rest of the stuff.I already have the front R&P set and install kit but still need to order the rear.I will go ahead and get the gear set and worry about the carrier later but I am pretty sure that with 3.73 both carriers are the larger one for the lower gears.
