Cat problem

Just got my jeep out of the shop for a full inspection. Apparently the previous owner had a universal cat installed and mounted it upside down. This explains the codes about the downstream sensor.(o2 sensor cannot get a well enough reading)
I am wondering how easy is it to install myself. Would anyone recommend that I buy a used cat? The shop said that it's more trouble then buying new.

Shop quote:
Cat(new): 178
o2(new): 65
Labor(1.1hrs): 75.90

Total(w/tax): 337.73
Let me know what you guys think
Thanks
