Took the jeep out this weekend and I think I messed it up. Following guys up these steep muddy trails and deep wet sand. Got stuck. Over rev. In 4 wheel low. I wish I never done this. I never beat on her like this before. They where in modified rigs and mine is stock

I seem to have a variety of things. From my dash making a creaking noise down to my axle joints? Drove her 150 miles home and heard all these new noises.

Hit the rev limiter on a regular basis in the mud and haven't had an issue. Mud in the joints and moving parts will cause creaks and what not, but it probably isn't the engine.

A better description of the noises and when and where the noises are coming from would be better

as noted there is a rev limiter... as for the sounds.. go to the car wash and hose it down till the water runs clear... then once dry inspect the underside...

Well this is true.... rev limiting doesn't hurt the engine much, but it sure does a working on u joints. ask me how I know.

haha yea.. i was on a casual outing in a dried up lake bed with no intention of wheeling but a guy got his truck stuck and was by himself so he asked for my help pulling him out. I was driving along the interior of the lake bed to get to him, which looks dry but just has a dry surface with gooey mud underneath. I wasn't in 4wd at the time because i was staying high and dry on upper bank so i lost speed while going through it. Once stopped even 4wd wasn't having it. Ended up airing down and rocking it back and forth for about half hour to get out. (and yes I did my good deed for the day and got him out too)
Needless to say, engines fine, but discovered a cracked rear driveshaft u joint on the way home. But this is partially due to also not having a SYE setup yet, not just engine revving

The first time I took mine out it made a ton of squeaking and creaking noise after I got home and cleaned it all up. Greased all the zerk fittings and it was quiet again.

My brother in law has a tshirt that says "if you can't take it apart you don't own it".

Happens to refer to electronic stuff but I think it applies to vehicles as well.

Find your noise, fix it yourself and bask in the pride of self sufficiency.
