I'm running a 2' antenna (Firestick FS-2) as well which works fine for offroading needs.

Don't forget antenna mounts need to be electrically well grounded. If they are powder coated or painted, that powder coating/paint needs to be ground away at the points they mount to the Jeep and where the antenna mount attaches.

Good point. I had planned on installing a ground strap to mine. After taking a dremel to the underside of the Teraflex mount where the antenna attaches, to the hole in the mount where the bolt goes through the body and inside the tub where the nut goes I didn't seem to need it.

So it just struck me that you dont have the antenna for radio. Im assuming you just dont use the radio?

I got tired of having to bend it over to get in and out of the garage and take it off when I needed to enter parking decks.

I have a 4' tiger mounted on my tire carrier. I also have it on a quick disconnect so I can park in the garage and medium duty spring.
