Where do you get that Teraflex mount ? Looks like just what I need. Local copskis are kind of nasty about things in front of the number plate...

Rightchannelradios.com has them.... I got a three way mount with my kit... Was thinking about mounting to my bumper but everywhere I've read advises against this...

Just a basic 90 degree angle aluminum bracket.

I bought this one RadioShack® Adjustable Fiberglass Single Trucker CB Antenna - RadioShack.com
I already had a CB but needed a new whip.
Instead of mounting it on the mirror as the truckers do, I mounted it in the same area as Commodore. Hubby flipped the bracket pieces to fit tight against each other then drilled the four holes into the body he screwed the bolts that would normally tighten the mount around the mirror into the body, and used RTV to seal the holes so I don't get water in. I'll take pics tonight and post them.

Pretty much any good CB or 4wd store online. I don't remember where I got mine, it was wherever the price was lowest on Google Shopping at the time. Does require drilling 1 hole through the tub for the sturdiest installation, and I highly recommend it. Also got a Firestik HD spring, and it provides just enough give for tree branches off road without ever smacking into the top. Now I have seen a few reports of people getting rust between the tub and this mount after a while, I haven't pulled mine off for a 6 month checkup yet.

Oh and I'd HIGHLY suggest a Wilson 3' or 4' flex antenna! No need for a spring, they can bend to crazy angles. And they tuneable as well

And yes, I know it's rusty and there isn't a antenna on it, that picture was taken before I replaced my stolen stuff.

Another Teraflex driver's side mount. I used to run a 4' firestick, but a tree grabbed it and tore it off. I have been running this 3' for the last few years with no problems.

Ran the cable through the existing hole for the tail light wires. The mount moves the tail light away from the body just enough for it to fit. Then follow the tail light wires through the rubber grommet in to the tub.

I have dual antennas up front I haven't tuned them yet and haven't used them like I would on a trail but used them a little on the highway. Got a little engine noise but nothing annoying. Not sure if you can see them but here are some pictures.

Nice dude, where did u get the mounting hardware from?
What length antennas you running?
And are you running both antennas for ur cb? or is one am/fm?

If you have a chance to take some close up pics in the next few days, id appreciate it

Ya man give me a sec and I will put up some close up shots. I used my existing windshield light mount and made a bracket for the antennas. I am using both for the cb and am trying to find some cheap trailrated badges to put over the radio antenna hole because the antenna interfered with the cb. I also like everything to be reversed as easy as possible.
