On my rig I have a Uniden 520xl pro unit, road pro compact speaker, rugged ridge cb TJ bracket, road pro cable, road pro spring bracket, road pro 4' antenna. I have the cable routed through the inner rear right fender grommet. I had to enlarge the hole there on the inner fender to get the connector through the hole, and then cut the stock grommet to insulate the bare sharp metal against the plastic cable. I then routed it through the small space below the tail light, about 1/4" gap. I had to use remove the tail light to get it to fit but the space is almost perfect. Swr is good, top 6" of antenna should be clear when hard top is on.

That's how mine was initially mounted. I liked it until I put the top down and didn't like it hanging overhead. Now that I rock the bikini most days, I may like it more. I still have the bar out on the deck. The wife hasn't stopped reminding me that it is still there.

You need the stud that the antenna screws into. Only a couple of dollars at radio shack

cb and mic placement

if you mount it below and to the left of the glove box you can just pull the bolt out of the visor for the mic clip, and it looks like the trucker sling they have hanging for the mic in a way
i like the antenna in the front tho i have a dummy 1 in the back

Dude that set up is legit. I spent around $170 for all of mine piecing it together. The only thing I don't see is an external speaker. They sell like $10 on amazon or at a truck stop and plug right in the back of the cb. The stock cb speaker is pretty much useless when topless at hi-way speed. I would have purchased that kit if I new it existed 4 mos ago. Good find man.

Do you have any other pics of your cb mount? It looks similar to what I'm trying to do.
