center console sub woofer and head unit.

Today I swapped the sub woofer in the center console!
I originally started with swapping out the head unit.
After that I realized the sub did not work.
I ended up going to sound world for a 6" sub. put it in the original box, ran wires to an amp, and put everything back together.
Sounds great!
Keep your screws in a cup,
I attached the amp under the glove box against the side wall. It just kinda jams up in there.
Wal mart had a Kicker 200w amp for 94.00.
Sound world had the wiring kit for 50.00
Sound world had a speaker lying around they sold me for 25.00.
back to rockin from the tin can
The speaker guys said this was as custom as custom gets when it comes to installing stuff.

I wish the Wrangler had a tad bit more room to shove an amp somewhere.

I used a kicker 6.5" in the stock sub enclosure and an amp I had laying around that I
used in my previous vehicle that powered two 12" subs. 1000 watts is a bit much for a 6.5" so I have it turned way down. I had to put it behind the passenger seat, but I'd love to get a smaller amp that I could mount in the dash somewhere so I wouldn't have to worry about rain as much with the top off.

nice! the biggest problem I had was finding a place to stuff the amp. I found a 200w kicker at wal mart. it was just right. I needed something that wouldn't blow my sub to smithereens

The new kicker power sports mini amps are awesome and easy to hide.
