Center console subwoofer

Ive got an 01 Sport and the center console has the slots in the drivers side for the speaker but no speaker.

My question is will the Quadratec one fit without remove the storage bucket under the console cover ?
Where do i get the wiring harness that plugs into the speaker up to the plug by the airbag disc switch?

That one will fit but to be honest it would be cheaper and better quality to remove the inside of the housing with a dremel cutter and put in an after market speaker instead of the factory or quadratec one. I think it's either a 6 or 8in sub. The connector is a standarr jeep connector that you can buy along with an aftermarket speaker at any online store. I bought my Polks and connectors through www.sonixelectronics.com and some prefer crutchfield. There is a write up on here on how to cut out the piece that keeps the aftermarket sub from fitting in the box.

If yours does not have the factory speaker you prob don't have the box that houses the speaker or the wire from the radio either. But with that said it also gives you freedom to put what ever speaker you want in their.

You have a basic console. Many of the console do have the molded grille slots even without the optional sub. The factory sub consists of an enclosure with amp that takes up most of the inside of the console. You can't just put an open sub in there. The console is too flimsy and not sealed

There are plans to build an enclosue to put in the console if you really wanted to. You are better off buying a small powered sub. There are a number of them aroung that will fit under a seat.
