changed battery and had problem

Hello, I have a question. I had a new battery installed on my 02 wrangler SE at firestone and after the mech. was done he tried to start it and it would turn but not start. He went back under the hood and everything was ok, it finally started but quit a couple times, he drove it around for a few minutes and it seems to be ok. Can anyone shed some light on what happened, Thank's?

Did it sit around quite a while without a battery in it? If so, the computer might have lost its presets which have been relearned by now. It's driving ok now right?

It didn't sit very long, but after they drove it around a couple of times and shut it of a few times and now it run like normal. So its the way the computer operates?

Yep exactly. The computer had to be driven around long enough on the new battery to relearn its parameters so the engine will run properly.
