Changed gears all is well !!!!!!

Thanks to the people who gave me information links on gear change out on my 97 tj . It now has 33 s and 410'gears . The job was very time consuming and I bought dial indicator a press and many other tools, it was worth it for the satisfaction and the education . Not to mention when you do it yourself you care more than anyone to do a good job . Remember that someone put it together !!!!! It can be done. Thanks again for the help

You are braver than me when it comes to the gearing. Congratulation.

Nice job. I recently had 4:56's put in my Dana 35 and found out my Superior gears were drilled off center. I had it done by full circle in Pottstown, PA and thank god because I would have flipped. I probably should have bought Yukon.

It took about 3 days not hard work , but a lot of thinking and double checking all that I done . I used g2 gears seem to be made very true and to high standards. I get alot of my stuff at 4 wd hardware . They stand behind what they sell and the people are are jeep nuts like all of us .

Good job. I re-geared my axles to 4.56 a couple of months ago. It is not as difficult as everyone makes it out to be.

Any tips for us who want to go-get it? When I build my Ford 8.8 I'm probably going to swap in 4.88 gears with 35" tires. I want to do it myself to not only save money, but also definitely for the experience. What instructions did you follow? And did you come into any major problems?

http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/Gear_Setup/. This is a very good web site but a factory manual that I got off eBay for 20 bucks is the best tool to have . This site makes or a little clearer but the manual will have the right specs for your app.
