Sorry, I'm on my iPhone so it's not easy to link. But look up 303 aerospace protectant. It's amazing stuff. Essentially it's a UV protecting found in many boating stores. Turns out it can make old dirty soft tops look good as new. I'm kind of excited to try it on my roll bar covers the next time I have he top down, hopefully soon!

my rollbar pads were fading purple from sitting in thw sun. i heard of the fabric paint and was going to paint them but i couldnt unzip them so i bought some shoe polish and dabbed that on there. its not the greatest but its a hell of a lot better than it was. its definently a cheap and easy way out

I had a little trouble getting my roll bar pads off to spray em with fabric paint, but I ended up using WD-40 on the zippers and they came off ok.

Duplicolor fabric and vinyl coating. They've held up well. I had to put several coats on them, they kept sucking up the paint. They were VERY light purple when I started.

When I WD-40'd the zippers, I didn't go crazy with it. I used the straw and put a light coat along the zipper. In a couple places I had to work the zipper back and forth and use a little more WD, but everything finally came off without tearing anything up.

Anyone paint their speaker pods or sound bar the same color as the body? I wanna do my speaker pods so that there is more flair without the top.

I guess the point of my post was missed... I get the characteristics and safety or lack of with even the hard top, however "happy wife, happy life" so I am willing to put it back on to make her "feel" better/safer... So guess I am still wondering if anyone has put in an aftermarket sunroof on their hardtop?

I think the sun roof is a great idea Personally. Like the thread says posted above... Just seal up the ridges well and there awesome. And I'm sure the wife will love it! I've also seen a lot of people keep the hard top on all year and just remove the rear glass(tailgate) and doors

I got my heavy duty phone mount in the mail yesterday ($12 on eBay). I mounted it on my windshield. Then I drilled a couple small holes in my dash (1 for charger and 1 for aux cable), ran the cables behind the dash and out the top vent for the defrost. Now everything looks nice and clean and I don't have cords hanging in front of everything and getting in the way!

My phone is always in the mount since the only music I listen to is Slacker radio.
