It's not that hard but you HAVE to know what your doing, if your off a 100th of an inch, you will destroy an entire gear set, locker etc

Pretty well, the special tools needed would cost more than having it done

Any idea of what that costs? Understanding different prices for different areas and all. Just a ballpark figure?

Regearing talk in the cheap, easy n fun mod thread? That's funny right there. Heck I'm wanting to regear, have all the parts, i.e. ring n pinion gears, master install kits and still can't find anyone to do it for under $800 LABOR only.

Haha good point. The place I got it done at was a flat rate of $250/axle.

Isn't that why Brits have a lot of more expensive stuff because it's gov subsidized or whatever. Meanwhile we just pay for it in taxes indirectly.

It's a relatively cheap mod compared to buying a new rubicon

Got some GREAT ideas from these mods, i plan to implement some of them the next time i have a few days off..do you guys find it easier to tape and mask off the jeep when painting flares or to remove the flares? Thinking of Going with Dark Red flares. what do you think?

Here is my latest mod, well addition, a quadratec Stereo lock box...love it!!

Not sure about red flares.... I took mine off and it was a huge PITA so I'd say mask

Mine came off... But I had to cut a lot of the heads off and use larger self tapping bolts to put them back on, but it's working so it's okay
