Only about $55
its nice cuz when the face plate is locked into place, the console shroud cant be removed.
I saw a mod where the AUX and USB were routed to the center console and that gave me an idea to rout 2 3.5mm AUX OUT ports down to my empty toggle switch area and tie them into the front Left and right channels, this was my self and a passenger can use headphones while on the interstate

It's a great idea. But check state laws. In most states drivers can't wear headphones. They say it keeps you from hearing emergency vehicles. I keep saying have u heard some cars a mile away tell them.

I did this same mod the other day, it was really easy and I like the fact that you took nearly identical pictures to what I did when taking the grill off.

Is there anything behind these bumper stops or w/e they are? I know my friend has some d-ring mounts there and I was curious if they were hidden behind these

I have a 97 TJ and I want to do this with bed liner
Is it hard to get the grill off a TJ?

There'd isn't anything behind them but the holes they bolt through

Yes its alot harder than the plastic grill on the JK's....
You would have to on bolt fenders, the center body mount and remove the radiator and anything else that attached to it

No The bumper itself isn't strong enough to mount anything for recovery 2... Get the Tow hooks at mount to the 2 bolts that hold the bumper on

I had the same thought. I wanted to add the gutter guard but change the color to like dark red or dark blue. But alas I too have a 97 and seems like too much work to do that. What about masking off the grill to dip it and then maybe dip some of those cheap grill inserts instead? Thoughts?

That's what I guessed, I'll be ordering some of those then.

Got a couple stickers made to replace the rocky mountain sticker that had to come off before paint.
Here is the original.
And here is the new one.
Only cost 8 bucks for two. Not bad

I swear I'm becoming addicted to this bed liner crap. I herclined my tub (only took one quart) which cost me 20 bucks thanks to my lowes discount. I bought some rustolium spray bed liner and painted a part of my dash. Plan on doing a little more with it this weekend.

Nice! How do you like the finish? I used bedliner spray on my fender flares but was gonna use Krylon Fusion for the interior.

For those of you who are interested in painting your roll bar covers or soundbar cover, or anything neoprene. I just used this stuff that I got from a local auto body supply shop, its great.

I just painted my hi-lift neoprene cover and this stuff is like dye, I can pull and tug on the cover and it doesnt break or separate like a paint would. Next test is to see how long it lasts.

I will post up a pic tomorrow when its light out but it looked very good to me. And yes this is like dye, it took my neoprene cover from light gray to a dark black in a few coats. It took much less than I had expected and I got a great return from it. Its supposed to rain all week so I will find out how well it holds up after getting soaked also. And then I will have time to do my sound bar cover since I dont have rollbar covers anymore. I will be the test dummy and post up the findings for everyone.

I thought about trimming off the side marker as well but decided not to just yet. I only took off 2". Measured and marked my line with blue tape. Went real slow and smooth and not too deep. They folded with ease and came right off. Took me all of an hour if that to do them ll. perhaps once I go with bigger tires I'll take it all the way up to the flat part then just add an inch or 2 of diamond plate. Then dip dip dip. Lol

Have you cut the rear fenders? I can't decide if I want or not.

Yea. Pic doesn't show it very well but I like the way it looks. I like it. Before I only had 3" from tire to fender. Now I have 5" on the back and about 5 1/2 on the front. Stock lift with 285/70/17. (32"Ish)
