I was thinking about power washing it. With the nossel that makes like a fan. What do you think? Then putting vinal protector on it

I used it on my tonneau cover a few years ago worst thing you can do. After a build up and then rain, it leaves black marks where the water runs. It took forever to get clean. Good Luck!

If you want to freshen up your soft tops, go to the auto parts store and get some of there vinyl and fabric paint. I have used it on many applications. It holds up very well. You can also spray the inside of your soft or bikini top.

I want that shifter but pepboys is nowhere near me and not worth the gas on a 200 mile drive to go to store

I extended my spare tire bump stops, cost less than $8

I used 1 1/2'' pvc pipe $2.68

bought M6 x100x50 and M6x100x65 bolts (about $2.50 a pack the shorter bolts were 4pk and the longer were 2pk

and cut a slot in them so I could use a flathead screw driver on them

painted the pipe black

[IMG]http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee450/wwch99tj/photobucket-

and the finished product

Would anybody know what my windshield channel has the flat channel like the rest of of TJ yet my bikini top has what looks like the round part? Is it for an older model? That would suck as when I bought it, he claimed it came off his TJ. needless to say, it doesn't fit cuz its round not flat.

No pics yet but you know the part of the channel that has the flat groove on it where the front of the bikini top slips into then fold over. Well the channel is flat but the piece on the canvas part has a round tube like piece in it that is supposed to fit into the channel. Since its round, it won't fit into the flat channel.

You have the tailgate bar style top.... There are replacement channels for relatively cheap that have this. Quadratec for a fact has them. I just saw them in the catalog

The bikini with the round rib does fit the Tj however it requires the drill in style header. That type header is avail at quadratec for $15. And once installed isn't supposed to interfere with the normal top.

Thanks for the info! Looks like I'll have to wait a couple days then for it to get here. Hope it don't rain. On a side note, any one need a screwless flat windshield channel?! Lol

Sounds like you got the wrong bikini...You got the one for a drill in header and not the no drill. Wouldn't it have been easier to return the bikini for the right one????

Works well sofar. Don't know if it is unique to my TJ but the throttle is quite twitchy so rocky tracks and hills is a real pain. This should fix that problem. Should also do the trick to keep the revs up while winching.
