I like to do cheap easy fun things to my tj, I have seen alot out there, but lets put all of our ideas on one thread. We all know about supension, regearing and all of that stuff, but what about the little things, that are just creative. Like cb radio mounts, anything custome. I will start off with what I have done, no available pictures but I will get some up ASAP. Well i mounted my cb behind the center console, I also made custom "oh sh*t" grab handles from 550 cord. I also put a cb speaker in place of my ash tray. I plan on doing some work with ammo cans, I know alot of you guys are CREATIVE so lets see what you guys have done.

so i rhino lined the new steel half doors i got last weekend. turned out pretty good for my half ass work, kinda put alot on there, had to go over it many many times for it to even out. I didnt think this one threw very good, did it with no gloves. then was like oh shit i need to get this off my hands... tried dish soap.... wasnt working. then my instinct was gas, what do you know no gas in the jugs... so then LIGHTBULB! im gunna use carb cleaner to get this shit off my hands and little bit of forearm.... excellent yet HORRIBLE idea. granted it took it right off my hands my skin was burning like no tomorrow afterwards. just rinsed them off in the sink for a bit and all was good. I guess you just have to make sacrifices sometimes. BUT HEY I HAVE RHINO LINED HALF DOORS NOW!. im gunna paint them tan tomorrow with a few other things. look out LILYELLER your gunna like the way toad looks when im done!

I thought the jack on the hood was a cool Idea, till I thought about what would happen if I was in a head on accident or something involving the front end. There's a chance of a jack going through you/your passengers/the windshield and that's just not a risk im willing to take..
in a head on accident, if the hood hi lift flew away, it would go towards the other vehicle, not towards you or the passenger.

It would fly forward, yes. I don't know, im just not a fan of things that could hit me. I know it would have to be a hell of an accident for something to push it through the windshield. But I figure, if I could put it somewhere else I would rather do that.

And thats why there are so many different mounts for these things, if I didnt have the 60" one and kids that ride in the rear seat I would probably have gone with the rollbar mount for behind the rear seat.

Way too much, and not nearly enough lol.

As for the hood mount Hi-lift, it would have to be one helluva accident. Mine is attached to the hinges for my hood, bolted down with large fender washers. Basically the entire hood would have to come off my Jeep for that to happen. But we all tell ourselves what we want to hear so we can sleep better at night right?
I'm not knockin it. If you like it there keep it. It is a very handy spot. I just don't like the chance that it could fly through the windshield.

No different then having a winch and shovels strapped to your rig. And if you hit hard enough to brake the mount of a hilift Hood mount then good chance you and the other car are gonna be dead regardless of the hi lift or your gonna wish you where dead.

Maybe. I have nothing against it, it's just not my thing. Since there's so many other places to put it I figured no need for it to be somewhere I'm not 100% comfortable with.

Looks good. Lets hope you prep'd well haha
I'm pretty sure I prepped good enough there's a few minor mistakes but I did it late last night so I could paint today. This is where the toad stands. I'm thinking of putting a star in the center of the door in Od green to give it some extra.

Leave the lightbar black. The stars would be pretty cool
