I like to do cheap easy fun things to my tj, I have seen alot out there, but lets put all of our ideas on one thread. We all know about supension, regearing and all of that stuff, but what about the little things, that are just creative. Like cb radio mounts, anything custome. I will start off with what I have done, no available pictures but I will get some up ASAP. Well i mounted my cb behind the center console, I also made custom "oh sh*t" grab handles from 550 cord. I also put a cb speaker in place of my ash tray. I plan on doing some work with ammo cans, I know alot of you guys are CREATIVE so lets see what you guys have done.

Do they rattle at all?
They did at first against the body. I put foam tape behind them. The lids are rubber sealed anyways and I glued the hole shut in the back where I drilled to run speaker wires. They are sealed and insulated with cardboard and foam. The only other rattle is from the metal handles on top moving around when I turn them up, because they are being powered by a pretty beefy amp. I choose not to cut the handle off to keep the look of them

Took 45 min to make at work on a slow day
Those look sweet good job. Do they sound good.

And no I don't have photoshop and I could just repaint problem is I'll like it regardless of color. I think green because the jeep is green, then j think brown cuz there is no brown really, both go well with tan. Hmmm

Not sure if this has been done on here or not but figured I share what I did today.
I decided to make a cover for my tub area, im a firefighter/emt and carry my gear with me (about $2500 worth of stuff) and my medic bag. And of course dont really want it stolen. It was fairly simple to do and cost me nothing. Took a old piece of plywood I had laying around and a few nuts and bolts. And of course a rattle can!! Rofl

Also mounting my fire extinguisher.

Put some black 1/2" door seal foam under handle or double sided tape

Can you still open your soft top?
They are in the way to the frame for the top but, I have them held in with utility straps. I just move them out of the way, lower the top and strap them back down. Only takes an extra couple of minutes to lower the top down. That was my concern when I thought about making them in the first place and went ahead and did it anyways. But yes, the top can go down with them in there.

Bit the bullet today and painted the interior. Pretty dam easy and well worth the price of 4 cans of krylon. I was sceptic of doin it at first, but a drill, 1/4 ratchet and 6 pack of yeungling. No problem. Only suggestion, and a pretty obvious one. Wait. I have the patience of an 8 year old, I waited like 2 hours until I put everything back together. Had to do a few touch ups but overall it turned out killer. Easy, cheap mod.

Did you think about throwing in some accents like the oh s**t bar and the air vents red? Maybe bezels around the radio. Just some ideas. But she looks beautiful now.
