Its not faded at all on mine, you can tell there was a decal there but only in a certain light and you have to be really looking for it.

So far on my 02 TJ I've done the handle bar o-shi* handles, put on an air bumper that will be connected to a 5 gal air tank mounted by the gas tank and then ran with belt driven compressor off engine at 250 psi for OBA. CB radio is purchased, waiting on mounting bracket to mount using stock dash hardware and holes. Will mount 3ft antenna on brake light rack bracket. Putting 2 red LED lights in the 2 extra holes for spare for brake lights...look like snake eyes. Put in a new kenwood head unit and purchased a hiland cargo basket for the hitch. Grip tape on slickery warn step bar/rocker protectors. Braided 550 cord on pull tab for passenger seat. Home made light cutoff plate for when top and doors are off. Rachet strap hard top hoist.

My phone is always in the mount since the only music I listen to is Slacker radio.
This is my next project I had planned on doing. Love it.

Black or whatever color they come in just leave it. If you use for Jeep for any real fun, that paint will get scratched up anyway.

If you paint it black noone will know. Paint it red, it will catch eyes. Both look good. It's what your trying to do with it.

I hope you knew that there is a fuse you can pull out to do the same thing. Look in the owners manual, i believe its fuse #4? None the less, it was still cheap fun and creative lol.

Or pull the #4 fuse and add an inline fuse with a switch. Mines in my glove box.

Dumping the junk out of my tuffy glove box to pull / insert the fuse got old. I like his solution or the more common addition of a switch better.

I just pulled my fuse a year ago and never looked back. You can still turn on the dome light via the head light switch if you truly need light at night. I never saw a reason to put it back.

I added a switch but half the time when I put the doors on I forget to turn it back on. The only issue with this is remembering if you turned on your headlights cause theres no more door chime, but a simple check before you get out resolves that issue.

Agreed, no light chime is kind of worry some. Especially if you have your headlights on during the day for some reason.
