haha, I'm planning on one of those too. You sure we aren't brothers?

What happened to the Rubiclone stickers? Why did you take them off?

Thanks for the heads up on the fuse. I never researched it. Havin a switch would be pretty handy, i do like having the interior lights come on when I kill the ignition with this set up. My preggers wife can find the step bar easier in the dark thata way.

CB radio bracket. There is a factory made one on amazon that works with hard doors, I can only use this when the doors are off or if I had soft doors. The factory one sells for $35. So last night I had a couple beers and threw this temporary one together. I used the stock side dash board holes to secure it. Its on pretty solid with very little wiggle room. There is 1/16in clearance all around, and i added some door insulation on the back of the cb to protect the glass. Total cost is pennies in screws and rattle can paint. CB was $50. Pretty cheap and fun project.

Here's my cheap fix cost about $1.00
Last night I brought the top in the house and broke out my needle and thread I had to sew up the seams over my passenger door.

I sewed about 16" of seams. Hope it lasts through the season

That's awesome. Did you build the bracket and then mount to the windshield frame?

The bracket is 1/2 angle then I used flat 1" stock to weld up the cb bracket and welded the flat piece above the drivers visor because it vibes to much plus it's a great place for switches. The TJ roll bar has holes drilled about 2" back from the windshield and put 1 bolt in upside down. Because you need to back about 2" to latch the hard top. I even angled the cb bracket so it points more towards the driver. Just make sure you have enough room for the coexal wire.

FYI, there is a Decepticon Jeep Wrangler TJ that is yellow. I think his name is Swindle or something like that.

There are 2 Autobot Jeep Wrangler TJs. The original green 'Hound' and a red 'Rollbar'. I have a green TJ and I plan to get the letters to spell Hound where your Rubiclone was.

2 real short dowels (scrap) 2 real short screws and 2 small washers.
This was a temporary fix that worked so well it became permanent.

You could paint them with night shade. It would give them a black chrome look. I did my brother's chrome center caps and they look cool

Cheap and simple stuff I did today. My hardtop rattled like all hell all the time so I put a strip of door weatherstripping on the plastic that hangs down. Hopefully it survives the intense Vegas heat. I also bought some velcro and stuck them together by the back sides so they would create a belt of sorts. Holds the seat belts in place while I have the top off and works great. No more flapping sounds. I'll attempt to attach some pics.

Crazy.. I just did the same thing a couple days ago with my seat belts. They were driving me crazy.

Also, I had a problem with my rear soft top window where I couldn't unzip it out. However, I don't think mine was even designed to zip out. Rolling it up was a bitch, nevermind how long it takes to smooth out after unrolled. So here is what I did...

I took metal grommets and punched them through the bottom edges

And I fed Velcro straps through them

Now, I unzip it to both the top left and right corners just as you would when rolling. But instead I push it up flat against the roof and tuck it up between the sound bar and roof.

Lastly, I strap it to the actual soft top cross member bar and pull it tight on both sides.

It works awesome, its easy, clean, doesn't flap around, leave a roll or crease and it can be left attached when I fold the top down.

Not the cheapest but pretty easy... put in a pop up sun roof in my hard top... Took only a couple hours to do, made it feel like a whole new Jeep...
