I like to do cheap easy fun things to my tj, I have seen alot out there, but lets put all of our ideas on one thread. We all know about supension, regearing and all of that stuff, but what about the little things, that are just creative. Like cb radio mounts, anything custome. I will start off with what I have done, no available pictures but I will get some up ASAP. Well i mounted my cb behind the center console, I also made custom "oh sh*t" grab handles from 550 cord. I also put a cb speaker in place of my ash tray. I plan on doing some work with ammo cans, I know alot of you guys are CREATIVE so lets see what you guys have done.

Yea I thought about that but upon further searching the entire vehicle has to be present during the inspection so they have to be on the jeep plus it has to be inspected in december and it gets pretty cold here in december

I personally like superbrightleds.com for auto LEDs, FYI

I am assuming that "inspection tags" are the same thing as registration tags. I pay $75 (plus $20 truck fee and $15 personalize plate fee) every year. But you only have to go in for emissions if your car is 5 years or older and every other year. The registration tag you have to pay every year. I normally do mine online.
Ma is registration every 2 years which is just a fee and every year. Regardless of age has to go in for a safety and emissions inspection. But if it's older than 16 years you don't have to do emissions. But still must do a safety

As lilyeller has said, this topic has been beaten more than a dead horse... but as a "you have no idea what you are talking about".... I see my reverse lights just fine and I passed inspection in Kenner, LA and they are well known for being the toughest inspection sight in the state. So strict in fact that they are the only location in the state that will not allow you to go to a state run facility. If you live in the city of Kenner you have to get a tag in Kenner because they refuse to trust anyone at a gas station.

So, 'nuff said. I will not comment on this topic again. If you don't like it, don't do it.

iluvshoes..... your jeep looks sweet with the blacked out lights. And yes, you can get LED bulbs that fit right into your stock lights, you just won't find them at Autozone. As for the fast blinking that lilyeller spoke of, there is a way to fix that, I just have to find it, it's been a while.
Hey. I didn't say I didn't like them! I also have my lights lightly tinted. But didn't tint the reverses. One it makes the light tiny look even darker while effecting light output even less. And I can't see crap backing up as is. Tinted would be even harder. I actually put rear facing lights just because I couldn't see a damn thing with my top on from the factory tint

I have a set of lights to mount on the rear too, just haven't gotten around to doing it yet..... along with the 4 for the front, the LED's under the sides that will come on when the doors are opened and the full under carriage LED system. Not to mention the other stuff. It never ends.

There is a fix for the TJ models, I have it posted in my build thread, that cost around 15 min and $0.00 . but I cant say the same for the JK models, I did a small search and the JK models use a different type of system that doesnt incorporate a flasher relay, so unfortunately for the JK people you are stuck with using resistors to bring it back up to normal draw (4 ohm and 35 watts.) Im sure some people in the JK section have done the LED lights and would be able to shed some "light" on the situation... (ok bad joke sorry lol)

Your tires look big yet they fit nicely under (or I should say line up with) your flares. How wide is your tires? The BF has 31x10.50x15 and they stick out pass his flares (he likes them that way) but your tires look WAY bigger than his.
Looks like 33 12.50s but he has 7 inch fender flares, I have the same set up on mine keeps the kinda stock look and also helps keep the jeep a little cleaner.

Plasti dip my antenna, turned my side markers into blinkers, blacked out all my lights but the headlight, changed my oil at 623 miles, redid my grills, removed all decals, badges and logo and washed, waxed, vacuumed and Armorall the inside and did the tires.
Your jeep looks good keep up the great mods. I would post my mods but my jeep is covered in mud from this weekend

Yep... 33x12.5x15 mounted on 15" rims with 4" backspacing matched with 7" wide stock style fenders. They line up perfectly. They look just like the stock flares but wider.
You can see how they line up pretty good in this one.

"helps keep the jeep a little cleaner"
I guess they help keep that area around the antenna a bit cleaner. lol
Compared to stock flares they help a lot, and I did say a "little" cleaner lol you can get anything filthy, especially if you play hard enough
