DIY rear, front bumper and a stinger with a custom spider web made by me. Give me your opinion wether I should keep the bent stinger or re make it into the angled one?

See that's where get lost haha I can't decide. I did all that work and now I want it different/ a couple inches shorter. If I remake it I'll end up selling the other one.

I like it. But are the backs of the d rings reinforced? A good pull can rip/ bend the bumper out if not

That's what I was going to do, add another web. Yea the shackles are actually welded through. I cut holes the shape of the shackle andplusher them a 1/4"-3/8" inside the bumper weld it once in back and twice in front and reinforced the bumper in a few places with 1/4" plate.

Did you use gum to stick the mirrors on? Hehee. Great uses of the existing space and hardware. It is just installed on the existing bolts for the windshield...right?

No its not gum!! Ruber rings that go in a water hose. And yes attached at the windshield bolts.

Looks good. How's the passenger mirror visibility with the doors on? Or do you not know yet?

I really dont know yet, but works great without the door!

How bout a parts list and a bit more detail? they look very functional does the wind affect them when driving at all?

Got the brackets at Walmat for like $5 had to drill some bigger holes then uscrewed the bolts where I have it placed and reused. I used the rubber water hose replacements just for paint protection. Then bolted on my factory mirror. I could have painted it, but it doesnt bother me.

Yea very nice! When you are just doing accents like that its hard not to go completely overboard and do every little piece you can find. But that is very tastefuly done and you should post it up in the http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/tire...it-152938.html thread so people have some more options.

I am scared to take my doors off and I really want to for camping next weekend. Anf if I do go doorless I will need mirrors. I like the look of these using existing hardware of the Jeep.

this thread has some good ideas on what you can use for both temporary and permanent solutions for mirrors and here is where you can see the laws of your state pertaining to mirrors Mirror Laws by State (U.S.) - EcoModder

Looks like you dont even have to have outside mirrors in WI, legaly anyways

Hey guys, sorry I've been away from the thread for a while, hope y'all are doing some kick ass mods cause I sure haven't. But I did get my Tom woods drive shaft in. It's a beast I strongly recommend once your guyses break. Soo I took the toad and buddy(4wheeler) out to go play. What do you know I rode buddy in a monsoon and then went home in more monsoon. Of course my hardtop wasn't on for the storm that's no fun. Well it was a fun day, now I'm sitting in the er for a broken wrist. Ohh well. Here's a pic! Keep up the kickass mods! And yes It is my right hand so I had the thumb throttle and stick shift to remind me of the pain I was in lol

I see other Wranglers with this problem, so this might help. The factory side mirrors love to flake off. So, I hit mine with 2 coats of Rustoleium primer and 2 coats of Rustolieum hammered black paint. Whammy. $8 fix.
