I don't remember which one I purchased, that was one of the first things I bought for my Jeep.
I got them from Quadratec, they just pop in.

Funny u say that. My T55 I had in my set didn't fit either. I had to go buy a new socket.

Did the new one you bought fit?

I finally got around to getting a pick of my finished 3rd brake light. This cost me about $30.

I may try to get a better quality pic later.

And when you put the top up won't the lights go on and illuminate the cab?

That's pretty sweet, but looks like another DWI for me. Lol just a good reason to be checked out by the cops.

I thought about that. The side lights are rotated toward the inside a bit so they can be seen throught the back window. They do illuminate the back area when the top and windows are on, but I see no problem with that. The illumination is only noticable at night. I very rarely have the back seat in and it's even more rare for me to have passangers back there.

Cool Key

Here is my new Jeep key. I like to collect carved stone skull and I get a kick out of the mythology of the Crystal Skull. I used one of my less expensive crystal skulls and an extra key I had made. I drilled the "key slot" with a drimmal press and a diamond core bit. I then used epoxy to secure the key (that I had clipped the head off of) in the skull. I think this will be a cool addition to my Zombie Response Jeep.

While bed lining my flares, I took care of some minor body damage:

Before. PO got in a fight with a tree limb :

Just a little masking tape, newspaper and a rattle can of Rustoleum Truck Bed Liner. I bent the fender back in place with some vise-grips and some brute strength. Then I roughed up the paint and sanded the rusty areas, primed and then shot the liner. This was taken right after I took off the tape:

And the finished product. Looks way better than those plastic diamond plate protectors and I don't have to worry about water getting trapped behind this and causing more rust. Nice thing is the liner is forgiving. This gets damaged all I have to do is sand and repaint and you would never know. I am thinking of doing the front of the hood to. I like the grill blue, but have a few rust spots on that. I am trying to figure something else for that.

And the whole thing, including the newly lined fenders and headlight bezels. By the way, the turn signals and marker lights are brand new from Amazon. all four cost about $8.00!

Thanks! Even I was surprised how good it looked. Just need to get that ugly winch and bumper spruced up and it will look like a new Jeep. Well, except for the dents in the hood and the biog scratch on the drivers door and...

Now that is one fantastic idea, with new endless direction that can be taken...Two thumbs up!
Now my only question is how are you gonna put it on your key ring without degrading the skull?
