Rancho's usually have the boot down. I've also been told that shocks can work either way it's just a personal opinion (I've been told) some people say that gas works better one way and hydro the other, some say its all bs and we don't need shocks (never actually heard that) but I don't think there is actually a "wrong" way to install a shock.

Mine are installed the same as his. Seemed the most logical to me.

You can run the rear shocks upside-down. Which really comes in handy when moving the pinion angle around and running a adjustable track-bar.

I was thinking the same thing. With steep pinion angle I have that would really give me more room. I just have enough clearance between the shock tube and the spring perch. That would definitely improve clearance.

Haha that cracked me up. No. Not upside down. Only one way to install them when using stock mounts. Just don't have boots on them yet.

My Rancho's have the boots up. I really don't think it masters. Personal preference.

I did this a couple months ago but it was easy and cheap cuz I already had the paint. Changed my diff fluid and painted my diff cover

Made the stencil by tracing onto computer paper from the computer screen (printer wasn't working). Put painters tape over the diff cover, taped my stencil in place over the tape then transferred the stencil to the tape with a razor. Peel the letters out and paint.

I don't know how he wired them but you could just connect them into you interior lights.... probably what I'll do.

I bought the LED strips on ebay and installed them in about 5 minutes. I only did under the dash though where the interior lights come on as the door opens. Look under your dash and theres a small white light there. I cut those wires and connected the wires on the strips and that was it. Nothing to it.

I used a 16ft roll of blue LED strip I got off Amazon for $19. I cut it to length and solder on wires. The wires run under the door frame and into the dash and are wired into 2 Contura switches that used to control my KC's. One switch turns on the front, the other the back. I have another 16ft roll of cool white that I will be adding in all the same places which will be wired to the dome/courtesy lights (if I ever put the fuse back in) and also to a switch, so I can turn them on whenever. Basically the same thing I did with my backup lights.

I have these under the dash. They just stick wherever you want to put them.

I have some of the strip stuff that I posted above that I plan to put under the side to come on when you open the doors.

Then I have two strips of this that are about 4 feet long that I plan to put under the hood.

I was just thinking Saturday night (while trying to put the windows back in at 1 am while it was chilly) that I need to figure out how to make some of those out of paracord.
