I've been using a small carabiner but I wanted to make some pulls that would just stay there all the time.

Cheap mod

My girlfriend found a cheap and easy mod for my wrangler and even installed it herself! I remember when I first got the Jeep and she was so confused when she flipped the sun visor down and there was no mirror...

What Im doing is making zipper pulls out of 550 cord. There are knots on youtube that would make perfect tie's for a zipper pull.

I found some all black ones in the camping section at walmart one day, only 50 cents for a bag of 3. I bought a couple bags and put them on at the store, have loved them ever since

A nice 2 color Crown sinnett would work. it would only take like 1 ft of each color to make a decent sized puller. Thats just a guess but will probably need less than that.

Hey I have a quick question. I'm not trying to sidetrack this thread.
I pressured washed my soft top the day after I went muding. I got most of the mud and ga clay stains out. But how do you guys clean the rest of the mud stains out of the top.

Embrace the mud stains or scrub with a brush

Hey yall were talking about a way to install the windows. I use a really small screwdriver. I got the blade red hot with a torch and bent it in to a hook. Once it cooled I ground it down so it would fit nicely. You gust have to make sure you use a small driver. With a handle and a blade about 3” long it’s a piece of cake.

What I find to get the hard to get stains is a Mr Clean Magic Eraser and it works on fenders also really well!

Nice thread Alan. Great stuff. I want to start a thread, but can't figure out how. What I want to do is retro a CJ-7 dash into my TJ. I think the CJ dash is bad ass with the speedo in the middle and so much room for switches. First I would like to know if anyone has done it, and if so...see some pics. Really would like to know how to start a thread on this

Sure, it would be fun, donaldbowling, and it could be cheap, if found in a scrap yard, but would it be easy?

Yes. Available at Home Depot or lowes for cheap. It's like a big rubber sticker that you spray on. If you like the look of whatever you sprayed then you peel it off and use bed liner instead.

If you want something more final use the rustoleum bedliner it has the same finish and look of plasticdip but feels like hard plastic, not rubber like plasticdip...
