It appears to me that 03yellowtj has used plastidip before considering he has a black grille. But I still feel like depending on what you do plastidip will look better and be more effective (ie grille mostly)

Thank you TJspeed. To be honest the only reason I did it is because when I joined this forum one of the first jeeps I saw was yours. I loved your Plasti dipped hood and grill. Next time I do it will be with rustoleum bed liner like the flares. So much easier to use and I love the finish. I'm also planning on doing the hardtop soon as well. I'll be sure to update you with pics. Prob won't happen till my weekend which is Monday and Tuesday of next week. And today is payday so I'm good to go with the funds.

Well thanks man! That's always nice to here! I recently re-did my flares with krylon satin black cause the bed liner was peeling due to me not preping the flares right.

This right after I did it. I didn't realize it was going to be so shiny.....

This is after a week.

Nice. Looks great. I'm thinking about bed lining the upper door area too. Not sure yet. When I bed line the hood soon do you think I should tape off the hinges like I did or bed line them as well. Also I can't decide if I want to do the blinker portion of the fender when I bed line the grill or leave blank like yours. These little details really make a huge difference on improving the look of my LJ. Your opinion is always appreciated TJspeed

Also for prep all I did was sand my flares down real well then I wiped it clean with alcohol then sprayed about five coats. Think it will hold up? So far no issues at all.

It helps a lot and it says on the can to sand it. I bed lined my grill and sanded the hell out of it. Put about 4 coats, or until there was nothing left in the can. It still looks new

Okay I'm wanting to take my stock bumpers off and paint them with the rustoleum spray can bed liner but I need to know if there is anything I need to do first, like sanding it. Or will the liner stick to the bumper without sanding?

Does it hold up well?? Can you post a picture? I was wanting to do my bumpers, mirrors, gas cap bezel, door handles, hood, grill, and license plate mount.

I just don't know how to take off that thin, painted grill piece.

It holds up really good. the biggest thing I would say to do is to spray a clear coat over it. I just used some cheap spraycan stuff. I did this because the best liner is nearly impossible to clean but with the clear on it the dirt washes right off. Not sure if it is a big deal for a small area but is was a must for what I did. Other than that I am very impressed by the product

Yes I did all bodywork and paint my self. It is rustoleum bedliner. Took about 2 months from start to completely done, a lot of rust and dent repair.

sweet. I've done my fenders, mirrors, and all hinges. This stuff is amazing. Do you have a hard top? Did you spray that as well? How many cans did you use? Can you tell a difference with weight? Not even sure if that's an issue, seems like it's adds some weight to it.
Sorry for all the questions, just want to do it right the first time.
