I've seen some people also retrofit a yj rear license plate swing bracket thing for the front of tjs. For use with winches. Pretty neat.

maglite brackets to hold my LED maglite on the side of the center console. Keeps it right at hand in the woods. Only like 30 bucks for the maglite and brackets

Mike thats a good idea putting lights in the rear bumper, especially the stock bumper, It would come in handy.. Im looking to putting in some round led tail lights in, also looking to hook up a OBA with a 2-4 gallon tank. Any Ideas. Also I was talking to a buddy of mine today, An i would like to be able to mount a axe and shovel somewhere to, along with a flashlight mount. Any ideas.

Thank you! As for your questions... Hmm Ive picked up a couple pull straps from an army surplus store that I used to hold things onto the roll cage. Perfect for small utility things. Like flashlights hatchets and tri fold shovels. as of oba. I'm not too sure. I had a buddy create a front tube like bumper that he welded air tight that he used to compress with air and put a fitting on it. But could be very dangerous in an on road collision. So I don't know. I have a fire extinguisher held onto my roll bars with hose clamps. Works like a charm too. As for full size shovel and axe idk all depends. You can go old school and drill brackets into the hood. Or onto the bumpers also (I'd preference that over hood personally). If you carry a high lift I've seen people ditch the spare tire and bolt it to the tire carrier via the lugs, simple locking lug would prevent theft too. That's all just off the top of my head.

Spray on bedliner for the handles ($8.99), Turned my slotted headlight covers into "Angry Eyes" ($0.00), DIY High lift jack holder with lock ($35.00), took off rollbar padding (not the ones near driver/pass heads tho). And that was just today More will come to me later, heres some pics to hold you over.

Finding something to contain my trek top was annoying, so I bought a set of bungee cords to hold it down rolled up on the back door. Works great and looks good.

Also looks like im getting some spray on bedliner for the handles that looks good. One of the nicest yellow jeeps i have ever seen

Well you'd prob scrape a lil of the paint off. But you could always buy a small section of foam pipe insulator and wrap that specific few inches where the clamp goes around. Oh here's the straps I'm talking about too. Sorry should have showed a pic

Thanks I have a few more things lined up for it this month but I'm really limited on budget so they will be small. Plan on bedlining the front and rear axles & driveshafts, maybe throw some yellow under there somewhere to break up all the darkness. Ill just have to see what I dream up lol. its definately a never ending project.

I like the speaker mount, will have to look into that when I get my CB all hooked up. Im looking at the bag with my CB in it right now contemplating where to put all the stuff. Hood mount is nice too but stupid me bought the damn 60" jack and its too flippen heavy to chance damaging my hood everytime I need to use it.

yea i love it, its easy to hear and out of the way and no one even notices it unless i tell them. I have everything rhinolined, even the roll bars, silly me, i wasn't wearing my seatbelt and i was going up this line, had to give the jeep a little bounce and hit my head so hard. thats the last time ill not wear my seat belt lol. I wanted the 60 in jack, but that one came with the jeep. I decided to put it right there because i can always see it, and it is away from all road objects . plus it looks cool.

I made some of those! But I just used 3/8th cold rolled bar stock and bent it. Used for relaxation while driving!

With the door handles, did you just rough 'em up, mask off and spray? How much overspray (how big was your masking)?

First I used 1" blue tape to mask off the edges of the area, this is the part you need to pay attention to because this will be the line that you see.

Second I masked off about 18" around the handle (used masking paper roll from lowes) If you dont have the actual masking paper you can use old newspaper or ripped magazines to mask off the area. That spray liner gets everywhere and specks of the liner were nearly 9-10" from the handle.

Then I used 180 grit paper to rough it up and remove the old "repair" from the previous owner, they used some crappy spray paint that was flaking off everywhere. Cleaned it with wax/silicon remover (could use acetone or mineral spirits) and went trigger happy with the liner. Did about 5 coats because it kept coming out a little gray, turns out that was a trick of the light as you can see lol.

Had alot of interest in this project and I wish I took more pics to explain better but this about sums it up. Feel free to ask any other questions.

Here is my mod completed not 20 minutes ago.
I have a wood cover over the rear of the jeep and attached my cooler to it.

Its an igloo marine cooler. Snugs down nice and tight. My girl will be able to grab me a soda while on our trip to Colorado this Friday.
Wood cover for bed - $50
6x9 speakers in the front bulk head of cover $20 (Craigslist)
150 watt amp mounted to the cover $35 (crappy boss audio amp)
Cooler - $20 (walmart)
Hardware for mounting cooler - $10

Not having to worry about losing your beer on the trail - priceless
