RustOleum.com like this but black. I got mine at lowes for right around 8 bucks per can. I used 1 can on everything but the mirrors. I had to open the second to do those. I did 2 coats on everything.

It says textured but its not like thick or bumpy like some of the others. I didnt want it like that.

what did you do for prep like sanding or anything like that or just started painting as I am thinking about doing my fender flares that are already painted black but are starting to chip and flake off in places?

thanks

The beauty to this bed liner as apposed to regular paint is you need pretty much zero prep. Esp since the flares are usually warn and faded. Anything I painted that was still shinny I scuffed it if it wasnt shinny the only prep I did was washed it all very well.

Im trying to draw something up, and im trying to think if i should put the switch panel up top, or down low where the stock ones are?

definently gonna make my own "trunk" from plywood, gonna put hinges though so if i have the backseat in its remove 2 hinges with some type of quick release in the hinge and i still have a secure trunk behind the seat

I bought a thick piece of wood from the shelving aisle in Home Depot and cut it out for behind the seat.
My original intention was to mount two 6x9 speaker boxes underneath it with one at each end so I could have a little space in the middle.
Then I found this cheapo 6 1/2 inch speaker system at Wally World and went with it.

I used sheet metal screws to attach a bracket to each side

For now I'm using wing nuts to attach the wood to the brackets. Nuts and lockwashers would make it a little harder/ time consuming for someone to steal it.

I could have mounted the speakers facing the rear seat but it would have taken up more room. They sound pretty good to me face down though.
I used rattle can bedliner on everythng. The piece of wood I bought has a rounded edge which is good because it does not dig into the seat like the last piece of wood I had back there did.

I may end up carpeting it or attaching a thin piece of sheet metal over the top of the wood.

it was kind of a pain, the lights didnt come with a template so i had to trim and test fit a lot. if they had a template it would have been a breeze, but for 15 bucks per light im pretty happy with the results

Smile River rock shifter

I found a rock down by the river close to my house. It had a heavy weight to it and felt really smooth in my hand. Its size is inbetween a baseball and golfball. I thought it would be a cool shifter knob so i brought it home. When i got it home i drilled it with masonry bits. Then filled it with jb weld. Tapped it, and now its my new shifter. I also drilled a 32 oz stainless steel cup and attached a heavy duty magnet to the bottom of it. Now i have a cup holder for water bottles or my morning coffee. Very cheap mods!!!!!!
