Depends on how long the ski is. if its too much wider than the Jeep then its prolly dangerous to have them sticking out the sides of the Jeep. If I were in your shoes I would hit a junkyard and take a roof rack off some old explorer or something and add it to the hard top. I know you said you dont want to put holes in it but its prolly the best idea.

ya thats my only wworry im not a big guy which might help with the ski length but about the drilling in the hardtop would that not mess with the strength of it and let water in, or am i just completly wrong haha?

Strength wise you'd be fine but leaking you would just need some epoxy or something to seal the holes

Yea some silicon sealant would seal up those holes pretty well. Id say all in all you could walk away with a decent roof rack for around $50 and a couple hours of work. Then you could strap anything you want up there. In fact heres a link to page 30 in this thread about it http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/chea...ml#post1620892

Or you can click below and find other writeups on it:
Let me google that for you

How strong IS the factory hard top? Ive always been nervous about bolting a rack onto it being that its fiberglass.

I believe the TJ <-> YJ top conversion can be done with some work, but as they are saying, the JK is wider and connects entirely too differently

While out driving my YJ today, I saw a full set of TJ fender flares and a set of black (new) rocker guards leaning against someone's mailbox with a sign that read, "FREE".
