Hmm. I used the Rustoleum brand that has been mentioned quite a bit on this thread. Seems to be just fine. I cleaned them off really well and used a very fine sanding pad before spraying.

Its all about prep. Prep is 90% of the work.

Yea I used duplicolor. It sucks for plastic.

Yea that must be the problem. Give the Rustoleum a shot. I hope mine hold up for a while because removing those flares is a tedious job!

Mine has been on there for about 9 months now. I have chafed it against sub mud banks, etc and it does not peel. It "scratches" just like plastic without peeling and is very durable.

What would you guys think about bedlining flares that are color-matched black and look brand spanking new? I think the contrast could look good, but I'm also hesitant about changing something that ain't broke

I wouldn't bedline color matched flares, if they were in bad shape it might be a different story...
The bed liner on clean-up as well as the smooth color match flares either.

IMO the classiest jeep is a white sahara but black is a close second. i dont know why you would ever want to have not color matched flares if you have them, as i dont have them and wish i did, so i am not personally aa fan of "de-color mathing" your flares but as always its your jeep and your choices. doesnt matter if anyone likes it but you.

I agree I bought a set of sahara flares about 2 years ago for mine because I got tired of repainting the stock flares

And I agree the white sahara 97-01 the ones that have the flare that goes under the door also are the best looking...
