It's a great idea. That's what trucks use to be made out of. Agree marine plywood is better because of the elements unless you put a lot of sealer on it.

Not sure if this qualifys as cheep guys and gals but bought the smitty built xrc roof rack for my 2013 , bolted it on and then found out you had to chuck the factory bumper an buy a after market or build your own to make it work. With time and money being tight I layed out the old bump and weled 2 tabs to new rack to pick up the remaining hole left in the bumper after it was coped out. looks ok cost me nothing and took about 3 hrs to lay it out and cut it,

Paint fender flares
Spray bed liner on door handles and grill
Flip sun visors so those stupid stickers arent showing, or just take them off.
rotate review mirror 180 degrees for better viewing front and rear
put carebeeners on seat tabs to make it easier to pull the seats forward
use eyebolts to hold down hardtop, makes for great tie down points or dog leash holder and whatever else
AMMO cans somewhere im not sure where, But i will be putting jumper cables, tow straps, gloves, miscellaneous tools, tire deflator first aid kit and other random stuff i think may be useful ( please give me some ideas on where to mount)
SHovel and Axe ( ideas on where to Mount)???
Rock/area lights underneath on either side of jeep ( anyone ever do this??)
Hand throttle
Hood louvers( this is a maybe, i have to think about it)
Round led flush tail lights ( i did alot of research on this and kinda know what to do, but i would still appreciate my fellow jeepers opinions and pictures)
OBA with Tank

This is all i can think of for now, i am hoping to be able to buy the more expensive stuff in a resonable amount of time, but there is no rush, none of this stuff is absolutely necessary. I would appreciate it alot if any of you guys have done any of this, also if you have any ideas and have not done, please post them up. I will post everything i do, im not an expert, so some of the stuff may look half ass, but i dont mind, my jeep isnt very pretty anyways.. the hole hood is dented in hmm anyways, Thanks Everyone
I went agot 2 small carribener for the seat loops right away! They work great!

I've got a build up somewhere in this thread of the ones I made a few months ago, I used regular plywood for mine & bedlined them

Inexpensive way to clean up plastic windows

Being I am a newbie this may be well known amongst you guys already but figured I would post it because I was amazed how it cleaned up my plastic windows. They were real cloudy before now I can see right through them.

It actually works on everything but I mostly use it on my interior plastic and top.

$12 for the bottle, less expensive than new windows.

That reminds me, I need to get my dad to pick me up a new bottle. They sell it at the Ace Hardware that he works at. He gets me his discount on it. Great stuff.

My grandpa gave my a big jug and spay bottle of that stuff almost a year ago. He said it was awesome stuff. I thought he was crazy and I haven't tried it yet. So that stuff is actually pretty good?

I think the spare tire carrier is different.

Doing some research. Looks like the hinge bolt holes are 1/2" off.

You might not be able to put a YJ carrier on a TJ tailgate, but TJ wheels should fit on a YJ carrier because they have the same bolt pattern.

I used Dupli-Color Urethane bumper coating on mine and it work like a charm. Look like brand new and I did it back in March 2012, Jeep parks in the driveway, no garage. Holding up real nice.

Same. I can usually get the pics to show by reopening or scrolling back and forth though. Not for those
